It has officially been one year since UNDRVULT began and uploaded its first video, one year since the entire project launched, and what a great year it has been. UNDRVULT is much more to me than just another promo channel or clone in a sea of many. To truly understand, we must first answer the question "What is UNDRVULT?" and that is what I will do, starting at the top.
Part 1 - Initial Idea and Reason
UNDRVULT didn’t just come about from impulse or anything like that; rather, it was founded with the intention of supporting all underground talent, regardless of genre.
The idea arose during a conversation with a friend group about promo channels in general, but one thing that stood out to me was that these channels promoted already popular songs by bigger artists, or songs by bigger artists posing as "underground artists". This made me think about how few channels focus on promoting predominantly underground talent. There are some great channels out there that focus on underground talent while also promoting bigger artists, such as Lexus and Cloud Paradise, which are also core inspirations for UNDRVULT, but from what I've seen, none or very few are completely underground. This is the main reason I started UNDRVULT.
The other thing is that these channels are very dubstep focused, missing out on countless great tracks within the broad scope of EDM, which is what inspired me to make UNDRVULT a more multi-style EDM promo channel that promotes genres and styles such as house, drum & bass, complextro, techno, glitch-hop, and even IDM. All of this has led to UNDRVULT becoming what it is today, but what exactly is it?
Part 2 - Identity
UNDRVULT's identity has changed and shifted over the last year; it still has the core “promo channel for the underground” thing going, but it's evolving into something more as it grows.
Most people will simply see UNDRVULT as another dubstep promo channel, but in truth, UNDRVULT is a promotion network dedicated to promoting underground EDM music regardless of genre, style, stats, or reach, because the music is what counts most. Beyond simply uploading music to YouTube, UNDRVULT collaborates with other underground labels, such as Unbeyond Anthologies and SHUTTLE RECS, to offer premiere uploads and it has partnered with The EDM Grid to help musicians connect and get their names out there. UNDRVULT is also an official promoter on LabelRadar, giving access to a vast pool of underground artists as well as an easy method to connect with and support them. UNDRVULT also allows artists to make guest mixes and exhibit their work on the platform, and the support continues with short-form content, mix appearances, shout-outs, playlists, and hopefully more in the future.
I want UNDRVULT to be more than just a promo channel; I want it to be a hub for underground EDM discovery, as well as a place to find incredible underground music that people can count on. Thanks to the artists on UNDRVULT and you, the listeners, it's getting closer to that goal. The promotional network may not be as large as others in terms of numbers and statistics, but it won't compromise UNDRVULT's goal and mission, nor my motivation to reach it. With that said, a year passed. What's to come from UNDRVULT in the future?
Part 3 - The Future of UNDRVULT
UNDRVULT has done a lot to support artists this year, introducing new short-form content series like Selects, ICYMI, and Monthly Recaps, as well as long-form series like Vibemixes. That will, of course, continue, and exciting ideas are brewing in the backend, such as blogs (like this), interviews, and possibly even things for artists, such as a useful resources page, a community sample pack, or a platform for artists to drop their own sample packs, all of which are just ideas for the time being but could be real and proof that UNDRVULT is aiming to be more than a promo channel. UNDRVULT has accomplished a lot this year, including hitting 400 subscribers at the last hour of 2025, supporting nearly 300 artists, accumulating over 60,000 channel views, and receiving a lot of positive messages from artists who are grateful to be on UNDRVULT. These achievements inspire me to do more with UNDRVULT and underground artists. And with the plans I have in the works, the future looks promising, and I am committed to growing it and excited to see what it will become. Thank you to everyone who has supported UNDRVULT, including partners, subscribers, followers, and listeners, for sticking around and believing in my vision. Here’s to a great 2026.
